Ancient beauties-Ősi szépségek

Az ókori ékszerek kézzel készültek. Nem volt olyan tökéletes a kidolgozásuk, mint ma a gépek segítségével, hogy a lézerrel rajzolt mintákról már ne is tegyek említést. Azonban arra gondolva, hogy milyen szerény eszközök álltak rendelkezésre majdnem 2000 évvel ezelőtt, és annak ellenére milyen szépségeket alkottak. Az már nem semmi.
Készítettem egy válogatást a találataim legjavából.

Ancient jewelries are only handmade products. These are not so perfect work then nowadays made with machines. Ancient times the jewelers had enough modest means. Despite of shortcomings they created beautiful pieces.

A pair of Roman gold and garnet African head earrings, Circa 1st-2nd Century C.E. Each composed of a finely carved garnet bead in the form of an African head with short incised hair, strung with double gold wire connected above and below to a tapering thick loop of twisted wire, the ear hook curving back on itself to form an s-shape, 1¾in (3.5cm) long including hook (2).
